Chairman of the Kaseman Board of Directors
Mr. Campbell is President and Founder of DC Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity investment firm headquartered in Washington, DC focused on investments in the United States federal government market. He has over 20 years of private equity, investment banking, and merchant banking experience. Before founding DC Capital Partners, he was a partner of Veritas Capital from 1992 through 2006 having been Co-Founder of The Veritas Capital Fund LP and one of the two Managing Members of the successor fund, The Veritas Capital Fund II. Prior to that time he was a senior and founding member of the Merchant Banking Group of Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc.
Prior to joining Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc. at its inception in 1988, Mr. Campbell was an officer of Manufactures Hanover Trust Co., where he was a member of the Acquisition Finance Group which was responsible for originating, structuring, and syndicating leveraged loans for such notable sponsors as KKR, among others. He began his business career in 1980 as a staff accountant at Coopers and Lybrand where he advanced to the position of tax manager, CPA, before his departure.
Throughout his career Mr. Campbell has been responsible for the sourcing, valuing, negotiating, structuring, closing and monitoring of numerous investments. While at Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc. and then subsequently as a Co-Founder of the Veritas Capital Fund LP he was a member of the Board of Directors of several companies including, but not limited to, Pneumo Abex Corporation, Wickes Companies, Inc., HITCO Technologies, Inc., Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc., TRAK Microwave, Inc., Vertex Aerospace Corporation, DynCorp International Inc., Continental Electronics Inc., Enterprise Electronics Inc., Athena Innovative Solutions Inc., McNeil Technologies Inc., and Trawick Associates Inc.
More recently, Mr. Campbell was Chairman of National Interest Security Company, LLC ("NISC"), a government service company dedicated to providing information technology solutions, information management, and strategic consulting services in support of national interest and security initiatives for the Intelligence Community; the departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Energy; and the Federal Health Information Technology community. Mr. Campbell built NISC and successfully sold the company to IBM (NYSE: IBM). Currently, he serves as Chairman of TSG Holdings, LLC, which holds a controlling interest in The SPECTRUM Group, a Washington, DC area consulting firm; Chairman of Kaseman, LLC, a provider of mission critical operational support to federal government agencies in the areas of training, security, and logistics services; and Chairman of the Strategic Intelligence Group, LLC, an intelligence consulting firm serving the Intelligence Community.
Mr. Campbell graduated from Lehigh University with degrees in both Finance and Accounting. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Pomfret School and is a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the National Guard Youth Foundation. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fordham Preparatory School.
Ms. Kara L. Bue
Ms. Bue is one of five founding partners of Armitage International, LLC. Ms. Bue also is the President of Key Bridge, Inc. a woman-owned corporation focused on consulting and government services. Previously, Ms. Bue served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Regional Stability within the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs (PM). Prior to her position within PM, she served for nearly two years as Special Assistant to former Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage. During that time, Ms. Bue advised the Deputy Secretary on international security, counter terrorism, and South Asia matters. Before her federal service, Ms. Bue was a corporate and securities lawyer, with a specialty in financial services law. As an adjunct to her law practice, she participated, on a pro bono basis, in studies sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies on the legal aspects of homeland defense.
Ms. Bue is a graduate of Brown University (A.B., 1986) and Loyola Law School, Los Angeles (J.D., 1993). She is admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia. Ms. Bue serves on the Boards of Directors of Freedom Fields USA, the Board of Advisors of the Center for Civil-Military Relations (CCMR) at the Naval Postgraduate School and teaches courses on civil-military relations. Ms. Bue also serves as the Military Outreach Fellow for the Center for U.S. Global Engagement.
Ambassador Henry A. Crumpton
Ambassador Crumpton is the President of Crumpton Group, LLC, a strategic international advisory and business development firm. He is Chairman of Crumpton Massie Technologies, a New Mexico based company supporting the testing, evaluation, and operational development of unmanned aircraft systems. He is a partner in Sundial LLC, a renewable energy solutions company. He is a director of Argan, Inc. and a member of the AECOM Advisory Board. With the rank of Ambassador-at-Large, he served as the Coordinator for Counterterrorism at the US Department of State from August 2005 until February 2007. Working directly for the Secretary of State, he developed, coordinated, and implemented US counterterrorism policy in Washington DC and abroad. Ambassador Crumpton joined the Central Intelligence Agency in 1981 as a Clandestine Service operations officer. For most of his 24 year career he operated in the foreign field, including assignments as Chief of Station. Ambassador Crumpton is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, the CIA's highest award for achievement. Ambassador Crumpton received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Mexico and a Masters in International Public Policy, with honors, from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies.
T. Gail Dady
Ms. Dady is a Partner at DC Capital Partners. Previously she served as a Principal at Veritas Capital. Ms. Dady managed the Washington DC office of Veritas Capital where, in addition to making and monitoring investments, she acted as liaison to government and industry, and assisted in the creation and execution of business development initiatives for portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Veritas Capital, Ms. Dady worked as a consultant with The SPECTRUM Group, a leading defense industry consultancy, advising clients engaged in the defense and aerospace sectors on strategic and business development issues. Previous to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Quarterdeck Investment Partners, Inc. ("Quarterdeck"), a leading boutique investment banking firm specializing in the aerospace, defense and technology sectors. Ms. Dady established the Washington, DC office for Quarterdeck and was responsible for managing the firm's mergers and acquisitions advisory practice. Prior to Quarterdeck, Ms. Dady served for 20 years in the United States Navy (1973-1993), attaining the rank of Commander. During the latter part of her naval career, she enjoyed notable assignments with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Commander of Allied Forces Southern Europe, and the Department of State.
Ms. Dady is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Guard Youth Foundation, overseeing the Foundation's National Awareness Campaign and chairing the Scholarship Committee and the Grant Committee. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for World Affairs and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kaseman, LLC, The Strategic Intelligence Group, LLC, and The SPECTRUM Group.
Ms. Dady holds a B.A. in Political Science from East Tennessee State University and an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Ms. Dady served as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University.
Mr. Robert Grimes
Mr. Grimes is the President and CEO of Kaseman LLC. He has 30-plus years experience and leadership in providing engineering services for government agencies, military and private sector clients. His broad understanding and hands on experience in operational and marketing strategies brings unparalleled value to Kaseman and our Board. During his career, he has held numerous executive positions specializing in the strategic planning and operations management required to promote accelerated growth. Mr. Grimes most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Electronics, Inc., a manufacturer of advanced high power radio frequency broadcast transmitter equipment to the U.S. and foreign militaries, National Labs and commercial clients. Mr. Grimes has served in similar capacities at TRAK Microwave Corporation and Pinkerton systems Integration Division.
Mr. Grimes completed the Graduate Program in Business, University of Florida, graduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University and B.S. in Electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
General Michael W. Hagee, USMC (Ret.)
General Hagee, a native son of Fredericksburg, Texas, joined the U.S. Navy in 1963. Graduating with distinction from the United States Naval Academy in 1968, he received a commission in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry officer. He retired as Commandant of the Marine Corps in 2006. During almost 39 years of service he held numerous command assignments as well as executive assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense and executive assistant to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. He currently serves a director on several boards of directors of major U.S. companies and non-profit organizations. General Hagee holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School and a master’s degree in national security studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
General Michael V. Hayden, USAF (Ret.)
General Hayden has a long and distinguished career in the US Air Force and in the intelligence community. Prior to becoming Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, General Hayden was the Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence, the first person to serve in that position. General Hayden also served as Director, National Security Agency, and Chief, Central Security Service. General Hayden has served as Commander of the Air Intelligence Agency and as Director of the Joint Command and Control Warfare Center. He has also served in senior staff positions at the Pentagon, Headquarters U.S. European Command, National Security Council and the U.S. Embassy in the People's Republic of Bulgaria. The general has also served as Deputy Chief of Staff, United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea.
Mr. David Kaseman
Mr. Kaseman, a native of Rochester, NY, has an established career providing quality services to clients within both the private sector and the Federal Government. As CEO of Kaseman, he proved that ethics and respect are the foundation for establishing and maintaining long term partnerships. Prior to his founding of Kaseman LLC, Mr. Kaseman held several executive positions including Executive Vice President/ COO of Corson Manufacturing and President of Armor Box Corporation. Mr. Kaseman holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Business from University of Rochester.
Dr. Donald M. Kerr Jr.
Dr. Donald Kerr has 40-plus years of experience and leadership in the Intelligence Community, Federal law enforcement, and the Department of Energy. In 2007, he was confirmed by the Senate as Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence. Prior to his position at ODNI, Kerr was the Director of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). In 2005, he was appointed Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Intelligence Space Technology. Before that, he was Deputy Director of Science and Technology at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he received the CIA Distinguished Intelligence Medal in September 2005. Dr. Kerr has also held prominent positions in Federal law enforcement and the Energy sector, including Assistant Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he was responsible for the Laboratory Division; and service with the Department of Energy, where he received the DOE Outstanding Service Award in 1979. Dr. Kerr was Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1979 to 1985.
Douglas T. Lake Jr.
Mr. Lake is a Partner at DC Capital Partners. Mr. Lake has extensive experience identifying, valuing, structuring, negotiating, financing, executing, and exiting private equity investments in the Government Services, Defense, and Aerospace industries having participated in over twenty investments in these industries over the past seven years. Following an acquisition, Mr. Lake works closely with portfolio company management in developing strategic and financial plans, assessing and executing add-on acquisition opportunities and the financing for such acquisitions.
At DC Capital, Mr. Lake has been involved with the formation, growth, and successful exit of National Interest Security Company, LLC ("NISC") to strategic acquirer IBM (NYSE: IBM). NISC was formed through the acquisitions of Multi-Threaded, Inc., Edge Consulting, Inc., Information Manufacturing Corporation, Athenyx, Inc., Omen, Inc., the intelligence services division of Global Analytic IT Services, Inc., and Technology and Management Services, Inc. In addition, Mr. Lake is actively involved in DC Capital's investments in Kaseman, LLC, the Strategic Intelligence Group, LLC, and The SPECTRUM Group.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kaseman, LLC, the Strategic Intelligence Group, LLC, and The SPECTRUM Group.
Prior to joining DC Capital Partners, Mr. Lake previously worked at Veritas Capital, a middle market private equity firm. At Veritas, Mr. Lake was directly involved with Veritas Capital Fund II investments in DynCorp International Inc., Athena Innovative Solutions, Inc., McNeil Technologies, Inc., and The Wornick Company. Mr. Lake began his professional career working in corporate finance at J.P. Morgan Securities.
Mr. Lake holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Vice Admiral Stephen F. Loftus, USN (Ret.)
Admiral Loftus is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The SPECTRUM Group. From 2000 until 2003, Loftus took a leave of absence from The SPECTRUM Group and joined The Carlyle Management Group to help turn around The Aerostructures Corporation, a Carlyle Group company in severe financial difficulty. As the Chief Financial Officer, he assisted in creating significant shareholder value and effecting a successful merger with Vought Aircraft Industries. Prior to joining The Carlyle Management Group, Loftus headed the SPECTRUM team that assisted one of the principals in the acquisition of Southwest Marine Shipyard. He subsequently chaired the strategy group that initiated the creation of United States Marine Repair, the largest non nuclear ship repair company in the United States. Loftus culminated a thirty eight year Navy career as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations with responsibility for the readiness of the U.S. Navy during the first Gulf war. As a Naval aviator, he flew in several different air warfare groups including carrier based early warning, heavy attack, and maritime patrol and reconnaissance squadrons. His senior operational commands included Commander, Fleet Air Forces, Mediterranean, and its NATO counterpart, Commander, Maritime Air Forces Mediterranean. Significant shore duty assignments included Director of the Department of the Navy Budget, and Director of the Secretary of the Navy, Office of Program Appraisal. Admiral Loftus received the highest peacetime award for the Navy, the Distinguished Service Medal, as well as the Distinguished Flying Cross and eight other combat related awards.
General Anthony C. Zinni, USMC (Ret.)
General Zinni, former Commander-in-Chief, US Central Command, is one of our Nation’s most respected military leaders. His distinguished career has taken him to over 70 countries, including two tours in Vietnam. His numerous assignments have included Commanding General, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, Deputy Director of Operations at the U.S. European Command and several Joint Task Force commands. In addition to his military assignments, General Zinni has served in a number of diplomatic positions, including appointments by the President as Special Envoy for the United States to Israel and the Palestinian Authority, as well as presidential diplomatic missions to Somalia, Pakistan, Ethiopia and State Department missions involving conflicts in Indonesia and the Philippines. In addition to his government service, General Zinni has a wealth of business experience. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of DynCorp International, prior to which time he served as President of International Operations for M.I.C. Industries, Inc. He has also served on several boards of directors and advisory boards in areas that include government services, manufacturing, electronics and communications, including but not limited to Raytheon Aerospace (Vertex Aerospace), Integrated Defense Technologies, DynCorp International, McNeil Technologies, and Continental Electronics. He remains active in public service and foreign policy debates and has been one of the leading proponents of "Smart Power", regularly testifying before Congress and providing advice to Presidents, Senators, and Congressmen on both sides of the aisle. General Zinni is also an accomplished author. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics, a Masters Degree in International Relations, and a Masters Degree in Business, as well as three Honorary Doctorate degrees.
